The 2019 La Tour de Mons is a very pretty, elegant wine. Bright floral
notes, vibrant red Margaux fruit and mid-weight structure give Tour de
Mons its distinctive, wonderfully inviting personality. Although the 2019 is
not especially complex, it more than makes up for that with its pure
appeal. Floral and blood orange accents lift the finish nicely. Tour de Mons
is now owned by the Perrodo family, who also owns d’Alesme and
Labégorce. It will be interesting to see where things go in coming years.
