The 2022 Lacoste-Borie, raised in 50% new oak, has an ebullient bouquet
with cranberry, raspberry and wilted rose petal scents. There is a trace of
melted tar. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. The 2022
shows a lovely balance, somehow carefree, with completeness and what I
suspect will be enticing drinkability. That said, it has the structure to age.

A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Lacoste-Borie is as good a wine from this label as I can remember tasting. Exhibiting aromas of cassis, charcoal and violets, it’s medium to full-bodied, ample and lively, with excellent depth and persistence.
