Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 92/100
The 2022 Blanc de Lynch-Bages is bright and nicely focused, with tons of
Sauvignon Blanc aromas and flavors driving the blend. Citrus, white
flowers, mint, chalk and tomato leaf are very nicely delineated. The 2022
has just been bottled, but its freshness is notable.

Vinous – Neil Martin
The 2022 Les Arums de Lagrange offers light orchard fruit and lanolin
scents on the nose. The palate is nicely weighted in the mouth. Tropical
hints of passion fruit and pineapple emerge toward a “punter friendly”
finish.

Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 90-92/100
The 2022 Clos Floridène Blanc is shaping up to be a real beauty. Creamy
and layered, the 2022 offers up scents of tangerine oil, apricot, mint and
yellow peach, all framed by a discreet touch of oak. This is beautifully
done.

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate – 91-93+/100
A blend of 65% Sauvignon and 35% Sémillon, the 2022 Carbonnieux Blanc reveals a delicate bouquet with aromas of lemon, jasmine, linden, smoke, pear and peach, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and concentrated palate that’s deep and harmonious, with a bright core of fruit and a zesty, mineral-driven finish. Built around racy acids, this is a very classy Carbonnieux Blanc that’s built to age with grace. Harvest here began early, on 16 August.

Robert Parker The Wine Advocate  – 93-95/100
A blend of 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Sémillon, the 2022 de Fieuzal Blanc exhibits aromas of spring flowers, lemon oil, al dente pear and peach with flinty hints. Juicy, round and deep, fleshy and fresh with a medium to full-bodied palate, it has a slightly phenolic finish. The aging process should reduce the slight austerity and bring more flesh and substance.

Robert Parker The Wine Advocate – 90-92/100
The 2022 L’Esprit de Chevalier Blanc, a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, reveals aromas of spices, pear, peach, menthol and lemon. On the palate, it’s fleshy and elegant, with bright acids and a long, saline finish. This is a great effort for a second wine.

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate – 90-93
A blend of 63% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Sémillon and 2% Muscadelle, the 2022 Pape Clément Blanc exhibits aromas of spices, spring flowers, lemon, peach and hints of jasmine and grapefruit. The palate is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and satiny, with an oaky frame. The finish is long, persistent and elegantly spicy.

Vinous – Neil Martin – 92-94/100
The 2022 Pape Clément Blanc was cropped at 35hL/ha between 28 August
and 2 September and matured in under 20% new oak. It is very fragrant on
the nose, with lemon verbena, white peach and honeysuckle scents. Really
fine definition and sense of focus. The palate is well balanced, a little
steelier and more linear than recent vintages with plenty of tension on the
saline finish. This should age well in bottle.

Vinous – Neil Martin – 89-91/100
The 2022 Le Comte de Malartic Blanc was picked 24 August to 1
September at just 18hL/ha due to the early April frost. Aged in 25% new
oak, it offers orchard fruit and light lanolin scents on the nose. The palate
is well balanced with a lightly honeyed entry, quite spicy toward the finish
with fennel on the aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate – 88-90/100
The 2022 Le Comte de Malartic Blanc, a blend of 38% Sémillon and 62% Sauvignon Blanc, offers up aromas of white flowers and orchard fruits, followed by a medium-bodied, nicely balanced palate with an energetic and lively finish.

Vinous – Neil Martin – 95-97/100
The 2022 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has a very fragrant, floral bouquet with pure
botrytised fruit, wonderful delineation and sense of mineralité. The palate
is smooth and sensual, dried honey and quince, lightly spiced with a gentle
crescendo on its polished and long finish. This is a very strong follow-up to
the 2021.

Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 92-94/100
The 2022 Giraud is very beautiful. In this vintage, Giraud is not quite as rich
as it can be, and yet it still offers notable depth and nuance. Spice, ginger,
orange confit and apricot jam open nicely in a mid-weight Giraud that
shows terrific energy.

Vinous – Neil Martin – 93-95/100
The 2022 Suduiraut comes from a quick and late harvest in October (three
tries between 17 and 27 October with some passerillé grapes in
September). Bunches were affected by botrytis but did not concentrate, at
least not until a period of wind and warmth. Wild honey, quince and
touches of marmalade on the nose, this opens nicely in the glass. The
palate is pure and viscous in texture, with marmalade, again, and dried
honey. Very open and approachable on the finish. Not profound, but quite
delicious. Christian Seely said he drank this for breakfast the previous day –
why not?

Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 93-95/100
The 2022 Doisy-Daëne is all class. Rich, layered and super-expressive.
Dried flowers, coconut, chamomile, apricot and dried ginger all grace this
deep, beautifully layered Barsac.

Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 93-96/100
The 2022 Doisy-Daëne L’Extravagant soars out of the glass with pineapple,
crème brûlée, coconut, tangerine oil and candied orange peel. This is an
especially rich vintage for L’Extravagant, a Barsac that usually shows a bit
more Sauvignon Blanc energy and cut. This clearly needs time.
