Ch La Serre 2022
Grand Cru Classé
Saint-Emilion
€ 57.84/ Per fles min. 12 flessen
Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 91-93/100
The 2022 La Serre is a dark, powerful wine. Black cherry, plum, gravel,
incense, licorice and scorched earth are beautifully layered in this rather
somber Saint-Émilion. The tannins need to soften, but there is certainly
much to look forward to.
Robert Parker The Wine Advocate – 90-93/100
The 2022 La Serre is a notable success, offering up aromas of wild berries, cherries and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and suave palate that’s deep, seamless and sensual, with a bright core of fruit and a long, mineral finish. This seven-hectare estate, situated on the shallow soils of the limestone plateau next to La Clotte and Villemaurine on the one side and Trotte Vieille and Troplong Mondot on the other, is planted at 7,200 vines per hectare, with some 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. With this vintage, La Serre takes an appreciable step up in quality.
