The 2023 Le Bon Pasteur is a sensual, layered wine. Dark cherry, plum, licorice, chocolate, spice, menthol and dried herbs all build nicely. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, vinified in equal parts barrel and tank. The fruit comes rom a collection of 30 micro-parcels, most of them on the Saint-Émilion/Pomerol border. Tasted two times.
